The all-new Revolution® Max 1250T engine is a liquid-cooled powertrain featuring twin overhead camshafts combined with variable valve timing. This allows the new Harley-Davidson Sportster S to generate substantial torque over an immediate powerband that’s tuned to maximize rider confidence and control. Because the engine also serves as the structural component of the bike, the Sportster S has a reduced overall weight which helps improve handling. A lower center of gravity and rigid chassis gives the rider enhanced performance and improved fuel economy.
The new Revolution® Max 1250T in the Harley-Davidson Sportster S provides 94 ft. lbs. of torque and 121 horsepower.
Rider Technology
Choose your ride mode! With the new Harley-Davidson Sportster S, riders have the ability to choose their own ride modes. Whether you’re looking to zip down the streets of Miami Beach or Fort Lauderdale, flick the switch to ‘Sport’ Mode. If you’re taking the scenic route through Worth Avenue in Palm Beach, riders can choose the ‘Road’ sport mode. And during those frequent rain showers in South Florida, there’s also a ‘Rain’ mode which helps improve traction.
The three sport modes allow riders to tune their bike with a specific combination of power delivery, engine breaking, Cornering Enhanced Antilock Braking System (C-ABS), and Cornering Enhanced Traction Control System (C-TCS) settings for the perfectly tuned ride.

Design
Who can forget about the iconic Sportster S design? This Harley-Davidson legend features back-to-the-basics styling language while maintaining the original vibe of the Sportster range. The muscular styling of the Sportster S is complimented by three color options: Mineral Green Metallic, White Sand Pearl, and Vivid Black. The high-mount exhaust is inspired by the glory days of Harley-Davidson flat-track racing and the pipes are crafted from corrosion-resistant 304-series stainless steel engineered to deflect exhaust heat away from the rider’s legs and tail section.
In addition to the above mentioned features, the 4” round display houses everything the rider needs in one, convenient location. The center digital LCD display features the indicators, ride modes, and turn-by-turn navigation with the Harley-Davidson app. All functions are accessed via buttons on the left- and right-hand controls.
Handling
The Sportster S has a 503-pound wet weight and a relatively low ride height and bars. This allows the rider to feel more like they’re sitting on the bike versus in the bike. Braking is supplied by Brembo which gives the Sportster S plenty of stopping power. Critics have also raved about the riding position and forward foot controls which provides comfort and control when powering through South Florida. The Sportster S also features a stretched riding position which makes the journey more comfortable when traveling longer distances.
