Harley-Davidson® Motorcycle Riding for Beginners
You’ve seen them cruising the streets of Miami. The cool guy or girl riding on a sleek, powerful motorcycle and wonder to yourself “Man, I’d love to get a bike.” The only problem is you don’t know how to ride one. Where do you even begin? Isn’t it kind of embarrassing to walk into a Harley-Davidson dealership and profess your lack of riding ability?
No way!
We all start somewhere, after all. It’s not like we’re born with an innate ability to ride motorcycles. Plus, at Peterson’s Harley-Davidson®, we have all kinds of motorcycle events and riding classes geared specifically towards people who are just learning how to ride a motorcycle. Whether you want to cruise down Ocean Drive in Miami Beach, A1A in Fort Lauderdale, or throughout the suburbs of Coral Gables, Kendall, Davie, or even Boca Raton, we’ll help you learn the skills needed and pick the right motorcycle for you.
So, first thing’s first. Where do you begin? We suggest you come to one of our two motorcycle dealerships in Miami. One is located in Miami Gardens and our second is located in Cutler Bay. Wherever you are in South Florida, we’ll get you set up. One of our Harley-Davidson® team leaders will ask about what you’re looking for in a motorcycle and what you would like to do with one. Are you looking to just cruise around South Florida? Are you looking to commute to work or ride on long haul trips? Do you plan on having a riding mate? All these questions will help us select the perfect Harley-Davidson® motorcycle for you.
Next, our motorcycle team will get you set up in our exclusive Harley-Davidson® Riding Class Academy. Here you can book a coaching session when it works for you, at a time and place of your convenience. We pride our Riding Class Academy on being a pressure-free, relaxed atmosphere where you can learn at your own pace. Our ultimate goal is to get you not only excited in your motorcycle journey, but to be confident when that journey begins. Our Harley-Davidson® Riding Class Academy starts with three unique programs.
Experience the Ride Program
The Experience The Ride program is best suited for those who have never been on a motorcycle before but want to try something new in a low pressure, low commitment atmosphere. Here, you’ll learn the basics of riding a motorcycle with an experienced coach. You can also bring your friends with you! The total program takes less than two hours.
Learn to Ride Program
The Learn to Ride motorcycle class is geared towards beginners who want to take the next step and obtain their motorcycle license. With this motorcycle class, we’ll teach you all the skills and riding strategies needed to get your license. Private one-on-one classes are available as are small groups ranging from two to four people. This program typically takes anywhere from two to four hours to complete.
Master the Streets
The third program in our Harley-Davidson® motorcycle Riding Class Academy is for newly licensed motorcycle riders seeking assistance with their riding journey and to master new techniques. Here you’ll have a personal mentor who will help answer any questions you may have about riding your motorcycle throughout South Florida so you can master the streets.
Now that you’ve signed up for one of the Harley-Davidson® Riding Class Academy programs, what’s next? One of the things that separates Peterson’s Harley-Davidson® from other motorcycle dealerships in South Florida are our events. We have events virtually every weekend from casual meetups, to full on barbecues with live music and giveaways. Typically, once a month Peterson’s Harley-Davidson® also hosts motorcycle ride outs such as our Key West ride. These events are filled with Harley-Davidson® riders of all skill levels in the South Florida area looking to meet new people, make lasting memories, and have fun.
